Optimizing Remote Work

As remote work has become another lifestyle shift in 2020, we’ve all had to make adjustments and discover ways to maintain productivity in a new environment. The transition working from home isn’t something that most people were prepared for, and for some it has been difficult.

We grabbed the opportunity to speak to a few of our colleagues, and learn how they are continuing adjusting their remote routine and the benefits they’ve seen over the last months:

Antonino F. – Business Development Representative

“Switching to a stand-up desk has enabled me to fix some back issues and posture from sitting down both in the office and on hourly commutes and lunch at home has led me to cook healthier meals with more access to fresh food from my fridge.”

Will B.- Business Development Manager

Will shares that the change in morning routine has him starting his day sitting down with a nice cup of coldbrew and a slice of avocado toast. By starting off his day calmly rather than rushing out the door, he notices he’s more productive – and the coldbrew seems to be getting the job done!

Ashley B.- Business Development Representative

We are going through a really tough time as a nation and we often forget how critical it is to take a step back and focus on our mental and physical health.

“Since I’ve been working from home I’ve been able to focus more on my own mental and physical health, which has allowed me to actually enjoy and appreciate my work routine even more. I am able to take a walk on my lunch, take time to talk with my husband or play with my cat, and prioritize healthy meals instead of fast-food breaks like when I was at the office. This allows me to really focus on productivity when I am working since, I feel more rested and generally healthier and happier!”

Tabitha S. – Director of Project Management

With the pandemic, being a mom and working from home is a challenge not many were prepared for. I am sure Tabitha isn’t the only one that has some kind of “mom-guilt” but, she focuses on the flexibility this new routine affords. Getting her daily tasks and email done either early morning and or at night leaves her enough time to be able to invest that quality time with family.

As a team with the innate gregariousness of salespeople, we cannot wait to get back into the office – and enjoy our new office location! But, in the meantime, we are joining the majority of the world in exercising our personal and professional agility through remote work. How have you and your organization adjusted to new work processes in 2020? Let us know in the comments!
